For many of us it has been quite a difficult period because, with most of the world gone into quarantine as one of the measures to protect ourselves against Covid-19, major changes have come along to disrupt our daily routines. This is a period during which we are at war with the Corona Virus amongst other things. So how do we keep sane in this time of trial?

Like the military, we should seek for God's face for the right strategy before going into combat. Combat meaning our daily issues that we face in our culture.

Isaiah 26:20 NIV - "Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you, hide yourselves for a little while until his wrath has passed"

It is important that we keep sane and stay safe during this time of trial, both mentally and

physically. Prayer is what opens up the floodgates for God to come down and be involved in our daily events. Use this time to strengthen your relationship with God, because our purpose is to have a relationship with Him.

In order to stand up and fight the enemy, you need to get on your knees and pray. Discover the gift and the freedom that lie behind "I'm too busy, I can't make time for my relationship with God" excuses. Step into this period with God, and this time learn how to do things with Him and consult with Him, we need to realize that no matter what we need to confide in God, allow Him to be our friend, and seek for guidance in Him because He is the way maker.

Matthew 6:6 NIV- "But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."

It is okay not to have answers, be brave and boldly embrace the unknown. When you don't have answers, pray. This is a challenging period filled with chaos, uncertainty, doubt, insecurity, and questions, all which can cause us to re-enter habits that are unhealthy and dysfunctional, but remember that God is the only alternative source of help. Find courage in God's love, knowing Him and His love will encourage you and give you confidence to move forward.

There'll come a time when we look back on this challenging period and laugh at how we thought we'd be undercover forever.
